These books are designed to escape your frequent toy purges, and to be cherished as a keepsake into adulthood and beyond.

The books are handcrafted from cotton muslin, crinkle paper, and other scraps from our clothing studio. They are customized with your baby's name and a photo of your family pet, (or whatever photo you'd like). They also feature rainbow felt danglies, high contrast patchwork, sandpaper scratchers, neon fringe, fuzz, and a squeaking leather bookmark to delight your baby's budding senses.

All books are perfectly imperfect, with wabi-sabi stitching and visible mistakes, as they are sewn at home using a decades-old sewing machine. Because we make use of scraps, your book's exact materials may differ slightly from the product photos featured here.

The books are totally bespoke, and all sales are final.

Once ordered, please email books@mernamaita.com within 24 hours with the following details:

1. Order # in subject

2. Baby's name for front cover

3. Photo of family pet (or whatever photo you'd like)

4. A gift note, if you'd like to include one in your package

Photo must be in .jpg format and less than 5MB. We cannot provide any support with your image, but a free image resizer can be found here.

Orders are limited, and your book's details must be submitted within 24 hours in order to hold your spot in queue. Due to the constraints of being a small business, we cannot make changes to your order once submitted.

Please expect a 3 week lead-time.
